Today I gave my uncle René a tutorial on transfering his vinyl records onto CD.see upcoming scores behind the cut )
He's the uncle responsible for my love of disco music. From 1974 to 1976 when he was still living with my grandparents, he bought most of the disco hits of the day. Around the same time, when I got my 1st cassette recorder at age 7 (a Bigston) for Xmas 1975, I'd bring it to grandma's place and record my uncle's 45s. I played those cassettes many, many times. The soundtrack of my childhood is made of songs like Love Rollercoaster, Shame Shame Shame, Hijack, Kung Fu Fighting, A.I.E. Amwana, Soul Dracula, I'm On Fire, I Love To Love, Some Kind of Wonderful, Gimme Some, Rock Your Baby, Rock The Boat, Why Can't We Be Friends, Get Down Tonight, Don't Stop The Music, The Best Disco In Town, More More More, Lady Bump, Get Up and Boogie, Fly Robin Fly, The Hustle, Reach Out I'll Be There, What a Diff'rence A Day Makes, etc...

Those were the days. :)
